My home at samaul on googlemap 31.3.2012
I do not think on any token it might have been a good home 3 years back Abhaykumar had commented on the map must had been put by my youngest brother Suman, a scientist at the Bhabha Atomic Reasearch centre, Mumbai. I had seen the map once incidentally I was searching and today again and went into the memory lane.
I do not crave for any sign or name or fame during my life or even after my death ( Though the RSS had left me long back in 2002 for no reasons, I am still follower of MS Golwalkar in this regard and would wish nothing for my remembrance once I depart form the world).
It is true that my mother had built this small home of two small rooms and a varanda in 1960s which had collapsed with time. In 2011-12 my younger brother Shubhakar had rebuilt the same but I could not go to house warming function on 5.3.2012.
I was born at Forbesganj where my parents had taken a piece of land in 1953 and was born there afterwards. My schooling was there and I carry that address for official purposes. There too I visited recently in on 9.12.2011 and on 25.3.2012 in connection with some Maithili programmes and few minutes only I could stay for my next destination to Patna both days and found the roof was collapsed.
My grandfather had also left a big piece of land( around 2 bighs in front of Watson School, Madhubani of which my father's portion is some 7 katha- many of my cousins have sold their piece and even more than their part and a partition suit is going on there. There II Antarrashtriy Maithili Sammelan was held in 1996 where Dr Jaykant Mishra was made president of the Mithila rajy Sangharsh samiti and a full blown struggle for Mithila was started by the Antarrashtriy Maithili Parishad of which formally I was elected president there.
Many of you are aware that I am single(with no malice to her, incidentally today I could know that she was also working in a hospital somewhere whose owner had been an admirer of me in 2002 for 2002’s grand medical function where Sarsanghchalak of the RSS as well as the DY PM had also graced) and so far I have not made any house and I do not know where I would resettle but true I may be called a lad of both places and have scores of memory.
My village Samaul had produced great scholars like Vachaspati II in 15th century whose ponds and deeh are visible in the map and Dhare Jha later on . Initially Sabha used to be in my ancestral gaachi which was later shifted to Saurath.
It has given me an idea to know entire Mithila.
It is not that I do not love my home but find little time which had been consumed mostly for the National Medicos Organisation(NMO) till 2002, which has its convention today at Patna but i preferred not to be honoured by the group there for many reasons- the first paper for such a medical organisation was written by me on Aug.14, 1977 at Samaul itself which is now a banyan tree like big organisation.
My all relations are there at Samaul and recently I had sent copies of Maihtiligeeta for ewach house through my nephew and one villager Singh had also phoned me two days back having received that.
We all have such home in villages and if we all can do something at least in our village we can make Mithila and hence, Bharat and Nepal more beautiful.
I had requested my cousins to have something at the Vachaspati deeh(I wish a small Ganesh temple and attached library there) if villagers contribute a day’s salary and labour, I will the rest and also attach 5 kathas nearby land Bhatnaktok my mother had purchased.
All billagers should contribute because only then they will take care of and would be associated with that.
Such proposal i had given at Thadhee also on 1.9.2009 and 22.9.2009 and had talked to the owner of the land to gift but they chose an easir path ogf Governmental donation calling Pt. Tarakant Jha. That is ok but that cannot make any monument like the Vivekanad Rock Memorial which was largely from public donation and as a small kid I had collected few rupees by selling 10 paise stamps of Vivekananda and that was probably my first social work as a child.

Is Patna(named on Patn Devi?):Mithila State meeting in Patna Pustak Mela(26.3.2012)
Is Patna(named on Patn Devi?):Mithila State meeting in Patna Pustak Mela(26.3.2012)
In the Seemanchal Express, Patna Sahib(City) came and the people cried Patna, Patna… but it was not though I came down.
Soon passed Guljarbagh and then Rajendranagar terminal and after that no signal and I got down. I had an urge for urination but in the coach it was difficult to go to toilet as there was not even an ant’s space left so crowded were the persons. Why not half coaches are made general or more trains are provided though till migration was stopped by proper planning any amount of train can not reduce mad rush to towns and or metros and or more economically uplift places and regions.
At Gulzarbagh I got down for that but there too in the other coach same problem. And when I got down on the rails, I had an urgent urge and I found one rack was there and I wished to go there but a known person from Forbesganj had also got down from the same train who said that he had missed the meeting there, After some distance I returned back went to the toilet of that rack. Soon a police came and was a bit angry.
I had told Nagendraji that I may go to his house though he was to go to Danapur for his son’s examination and hence I thought to have my pooja at a temple there where some months back I had done and hence I took batch in other rake and did puja peacefully with a thought not to go anywhere though my friend Rita’s house was near and so my sister’s.
I had many Vaijayanti flowers- red sprinkled yellow for offering in Puja,
All of sudden I had a desire to go to Patndevi about which I had read while writing an essay on Shaktipeethas in the souvenir of MECON that sati’s right thigh had fallen there and I had been saying since then that as the area where parts below naval had fallen are VAM MARGIS ( flowing Panch Makars), Magahis are so while in Mithila left shoulder was fallen and in this way too we are different.
Few days back too I had been at Patna (on 19th march 2012) for addressing at the patna Pustak Mela but could not go to Patndevi despite my desire as Kamalmohan ‘Chunnu’ came late.
I had no appointment till 5 pm and I decided to go there. I took my return reservation by night train and went outside in an auto rickshaw to Gayghat. In the way purchased some grapes to eat.
At Gayghat, walked down and then I walked up and down to Temple. The approach PCC road was made from the M.P. fund of my friend Ravishankar Prasad.
The Temple is attractive and was decorated with festoons since it was Navratra days. I asked for a book but could not. The vendor said that there had fallen right thigh and pat(vastra) but only next day I could correalate that with the nomenclature of PATNA.
I had darshan and then I walked down to nearby Gulzarbag railway station. In the way I saw it was a thickly populated business place with all sorts of cereals and others being sold. At one point there was a queue and when I enquired it was for paying electricity bill. Some rickshaws were full load of green gram’s bunches pulled up from field with roots and on the top of that one lady was sitting on each rickshaw. I asked one whether it was for sell to which she denied. They were not retailer. After some distance I found some ladies selling that and for Rs.5 she gave me a big bunch.
I reached station and a train(Bhagalpur-Patna Intercity) was on the platform. Immediately I crossed the line seeing no train passing and entrained. Again I had to go to toilet- must be effect of heavy food at Raniganj.
Then it was a difficult task to eat each of the green gram one by one but I did that standing in the coach and at Patna Junction , I got down ,continuing eating till finished.
Still a lot of time in hand. Already I had talked to Shardinduji of Shekhar Prakashan who sells only Maithili books but first I had a darshan of Lord Hanuman in the temple.
Shardinduji was there(he could not meet in the last week’s visit) and we had a lot of talks.
Prof.Umar Farookh, a geographer from H. P. College, Madhepur (Madhubani) came for purchasing 28 books for giving award in a function there. He belonged to Champaran which I said was a part of Mithila and I wished work on the geography of Mithila. I said him my reference to specific earthquake in Mithila( and I talked him just now when I forgot his initials, and reminded him the talks to which he had also remarked yestrady and talked to some of eminent Maihtili workers there viz. Prof. Devkant Mishra son of eminent Maithili poet ‘Madhupji,’ prof. Bhairab Babu teaching English there and prof. Phulchandra Mishra ‘Raman,’ teaching sankrit there but is a well known Maithili critique and Jayprakash ‘Jank’ of Korthu. I expressed a desire to have an intellectual gathering there on Mithila topic.
What a coincident! I had asked Prof. Umar to meet my cousin Dr. Umesh there and I find his late wife’s elder sister in my chamber to consult a skin specialist Dr. Jha who shares chamber with me for few hours.
There was Maithili student Ashutosh pursuing his MA there. Shardinduji is helpful to students opting Maihtili for the UPSC, BPSC etc.
During the talks came Saubhagya Mithila representative who took my bite on the dearth of Maithili teachers in the Patna University which is talked there since 1965. To me it looks an attempt to throttle Maithili by all means and not long time before a minister had said in the legislative house that no need of appointing Maithili teachers. This psyche is continued since 1940 when Dr. Sacchidanand sinha and Dr. Rajendra Prasad had objected Maithili’s inclusion in the basic education.
I feel Mithila’s statehood is essential for solving such recurring problems.
Shardinduji though have been respectful to me but this time( on 26.3.2912) I found him somewhat aggressive on some points and I retorded him(maybe being hungry and exhausted and as time was approaching I purchased again some grapes for Rs.10.and sat in an auto rickshaw eating that and again out of Gandhi maidan purchased for Rs. 10.
At Gandhi maidan Shri Baccha Thakur, retd. IAS was waiting for me and so Akhilesh and soon came Narendrababu and Mohanji who conducted Mithila state meeting on the Phanishwarnath ‘Renu’ Muktakash Manch.
After Bachha Thakur introduced the subject very forcefully, and Narendrababu spoke so positively in favour it was my turn to address at the fag end of the Pustak Mela and probably I spoke very well convincing all, “Solution of all problems of Mithila was Mithila state,’ and enlarged the scope of that that mithila’s statehood was solution of Bihar’s(rest of Bihar’s all problems0 as well as changing the polity of India by crumbling so called MY combination as well as defence of India when China was looming at our borders like a vulture.
Because the audience was mixed I mixed my language with doze in Hindi and English and dared Neetish Kumar and Sushil K Modi to have a public debate with me and even threw challenge that in coming decades we would divide half of Patna if they tried to behave like MLA or minister of Patna only. IIT would have been at Darbhanga not at Patna where NIT already was and in fact the educational centres should be far from the capital for least political interference.
Later among the audience was one retd. IAS, RP Singh who appreciated my talk.
After that kavi goshthi started in which Bachha Thakur reminded that in 2003 at Dhanbad I had recited one poetry and incidentally I had that poetry page only on Kalpana Chwla (she had died in the space that day in 2003) which I recited another Hindi poetry on Nagphani.
Bachhababu sang his poetry, Siskait Mithila and what he said that forgetting Mithila in Bihar song was nothing when Rabindranath had forgotten in (National Anthem). The whole audience was moved.
Poet Nirab, Akhilesh and LK jha of Danapur also recited.
It was going late and I came out. I got a bus and reached junction. There is bhuja shop where purchased bhuja for Rs. 20 which was an ideal dinner for me with five capsicum. I slept and got deep sleep and at Bokaro got up without remembering midway. Soon came Ranchi and got into just moving Maurya express which halted near my colony and keeping my bag at the residence joined duty to have daily rituals in the afternoon(for tarpan that is better but for devpujan morning is better).
In the Seemanchal Express, Patna Sahib(City) came and the people cried Patna, Patna… but it was not though I came down.

Mithila Jagran yatra_119- Raniganj-Forbesganj
Mithila Jagran yatra_119- Raniganj-Forbesganj
A week is passing since I started for Raniganj for the XXVI Maithili Workers’ training Camp which as per my Maihtili dairy(I write three dairies almost daily one for Maihtili others for medical and personal) was fixed on March 16th 2012 after a long wait from Delhi Maithils to have a camp there ( and incidentally son of Abhayshankar Jha working at Delhi was also trained there).
The banner of the AMP was in demand and though its proof was ok by 1030 am on email it was delivered by the press at my residence(some 10 km) by 145 pm- they must be under the impression that I had to catch Vananchal Express of 230 pm in which once they missed to deliver me the bundles of leaflets for Mithila.
I was busy as before and had asked a Maithil worker from Godda to bring Xerox of the study materials which too was delivered by 630 pm ,I reached my residence after hospital duty.
MaihtilaGeeta’s 100 copy for Bhaglapur made my luggage heavy to walk and a matter for bargain by a rickshaw puller. I reached station and took a ticket but the Jaynagar Express was announced 2 hours late rescheduling and I was worried as to which train I would get from Kiul for Bhagalpur. Howrah Express passed and then Patliputra Express for the same line which carried away most of the passengers and comfortably I slept in the train which had lesser stops and it crossed over Patliputra Expressed before Dhanabad.
It was morning near Jasidih and I took bath in the toilet itself which was almost clean and offered my daily puja as well as Durgasptsahati as it was the first day of Chaitra Navratra.
No sooner I reached Kiul I saw a train coming to platform on Bhagalpur line which was Sahebganj intercity for which the copassanger had said that surely I would get that. In haste I did not wait for 2-3 minutes to drop Aayurvigyan pragati in the RMS ( and had to carry that till I reached Forbesgnaj, my home post office 25th night).
The train had a rush and yet I got seat after Jamalpur. I distributed some Mithila pamphlet to judge the view of Munger people whether they would like to go in Mithila or would like to remain in Bihar.
I talked jay Praksash Jha for delivery of Maithiligeeta and he asked me to unload myself near the junction at the Krishna Book Depot. After which I went to the bus stand but was advised to go to Zero mile for Purnea bus. At zero mile in the depot could get a bus after some minutes and reached Purnea by 240 pm and took 3 pm bus for Raniganj.
Ajayshankarjee asked me to drop at Thana and when I said this to conductor he returned Rs. 30 under the impression I was a police staff.
To another conductor also I gave Rs. 50 note but he too returned listening word THANA and soon he changed my seat himself from the back 6-seater to mid one in respect or horror of the Thana I could only experience after a lie like from Yudhhisthir..
I had only defense for this lie that I was not on any personal tour but for a social work concerning to that area.
I saw Girija Chowk of Purnea and then the way crossing the villages among which at Champanagar I was amazed to see a MITHILA TALKIES and Bhagwati Sthan of Mihtila cult.
The scene was all green and I was pleased to see some plantation of Surajmukhee.
I got down at Thana of Raniganj and saw a banner on the gate to the Babulal deewan High School for the XXVI Maihtili Workers Training Camp.
Prof. N. L. Das , vice president,AMP had already reached there and were waiting for me though I had told them to start without waiting for me.
Prof. lighted candle(deep would have been better) and we recited ‘jai jai Bhairawi Asur Bhayauni..’ and then Abhayshankar Jha welcomed us and Dr. NL Das introduced the motto of such camps highlighting the importance of Maithili language and its script as well as Mithiula rajya.
He also spoke on the virtues of an ideal worker for which such camps are meant.
It was getting dark and hence I did speak only few lines for the role of the AMP.
Prof. Das returned to Forbesganj assuring us for his presence on the last day which he did .
I was taken to Ahayshankarjee’s house. I had an in growing nail and walking was a bit difficult and hence, on bike.
There I knew that Abhayjee’s father Amoghnarayanji was a great Hindi writer.
There came a Hindi litterateure, Sadanand ‘Suman’ and we had a range of discussion on Renu and others.
I expressed some reservations on Renu’s Maila Anchal which has author’s socialistic anti-RSS flair in the narration and that was the cause of his promotion by the leftist circle though ironically his son is a MLA from the BJP on the traditional seat of the BJP where the RSS had its first shakha in Bihar.
I had other objection to renu that though a Maithil he had written in Hindi and tagging the book as Regional(Aanchalik), it was a tool for anti-Maithili, Hindi imperialists to colour Mithila’s Aanchal as aanchal of Hindi and that was quite unfair from the linguistic point of view. I recalled what Dr. Jaykant Mishra had told me when I was with him on the Koshi terrain on 14.12.1994 ,”Renu had done prostitution of language.”
Both are no more to react or counteract but Sadanad ‘Suman’ and Abhayshankarji both Renu fan admitted by next evening that had Renu written that novel in Maithili that would have been much better though still that is an excellent piece of writing.
It is not that Renu had not written anything in Maithili, in fact he had some of the good pieces.
Next morning I did get up late and still I was late in reading about Amoghji and his anthology and in Bharti Mandan many informative articles including one by Amoghji on Sama Chakeba and by Abhayshankar Jha on nearby Basithi’s Shiv Mandir built by famous queen Indravati.
I did pooja in hot sun and after heavy lunch (like previous night’s dinner) went to the BLD School for the training camp and spoke on variety of subjects’
On the geography of Mithila I hypothesized it a distinct geological zone based on earthquake(and on 29th March again an earthquake had occurred in Mithila’s eastern zone only). When there is an quake in Mithila it is not in Assam or north east or in north west or Uttarkashi.
We need specific quake resistant houses or as built in ancient days of ghas-foos.
I also spoke on the history of ancient Mithila(rather Independent Mithila till 1326- after that it was subjugated by foreign invaders).
Kalpkavi Umesh Karn did not come and I had to distribute Mithilakshar sheets.
Mangan Mishra from Forbesganj had joined and he addressed the group. It was ecided to have a meeting at Forbesganj on 25th evening for the preparation of the XXIV Antarrashtriy Maithili sammelan before I take Seemanchal Express in the night to address a Mithila meeting at the Gandhi Maidan in the Patna Pustak Mela on 26th evening.
I asked trainees to delineate Mithila’s problems – they spoke for illiteracy, poverty etc.
I also said some tips on health as not to take less salt and avoid tobacco in any form.
In the evening I walked and preferred to walk with Sadanand ‘Suman’ son of late Nandev Sada who is a writer in Hindi and an avid reader. I preferred to go to his house for intimate talks.
It is my view that every effort should be made to meet maximum number of people when one is on organizational tour.
After snacks(buiscuist, rosugullas) again we returned to Abhayjee’s house discussing the political ethnography of India which to my opinion was divided in cosmopolitan Congress, radical communists (and their variant socialists to start within the Congress and later separate), Muslim League and it s counter Hindu wings (Mahasabha and later RSS-sprang in BJS/BJP).
We discussed on literature, Maithili, Hindi etc. A point came up that while Amoghji portrayed Raniganj true to the glory of the queen who had made it, Renu portrayed as Meryganj, the name of post office to differentiate that from Raniganj of WB, on the name of a foreign lady who probably lived there in the Nilaha days. It was the via post office of Aaurahi Hingna the village of Renu and he used to wait his magazines from there where now stood a Western Union Money Transfer sign board and an ATM showing the teeth of the ‘money order economy’ on which Mithila was thriving.
Again a heavy dinner.
On 25th morning I got up early and became ready after swift Durgapaath etc. to go to Basithi temple on bike with Bhaskar. An engineering student hailing from Bhawanipur-Baisi(Purnea), brother of Abhayji’s daughter in law.
It was ome 20 kiolmeter and I photographed the temple including a plaque in Mihtilakshar, symbolizing that area was apart of(an Anchal of) Mithila only. It may turn to a tourist spot if developed properly.
Sudhirnath Mishra despite his ill health came from Araria and after lunch we had training sessions. He spoke on the role of International Maithili conferences(he was the convener of XXI such conference at Araia, 24-25/4/2010 where Md. Israil Rain MLC, LN Mehta MLA were chief guests).
He invited all for ensuing XXIV Conference one each to bring one other i.e. 36 trainees x2 there on May 12-13, 2012.
He also spoke on Social Harmony.
Anand Kumar Jha did not turn up and I had to take his subject- Role of Youth in the development of Mithila apart from Maithili’s development on which Abhay Sahankar Jha spoke well and also invited students to take up Maithili as a subject and he would provide free books.
Organistion was stressed and he was made president of the local unit with Shibchandra malakar s/o late Jageshwar yadav as general secretary.
I also spoke on Mithila’s modern history and necessity of the Mithila state as well as the methodology of the AMP and stressed for full time workers; evolution through such camps.
I had already prepared certificates to 37 participants in the morning and my duty was over.
Later Sudhirjee and I visited local Saraswati Shishu Mandir and gave few health tips to kids there.
With Bhaskar I came to Abhayji’s house to take my bag and at bus stand Sudhirnathji came. A seat could be provided to him but I came standing. The distance was not far bust had several big halts. Many villages like Sahbajpur, parwaha crossed I had been listening to them in my childhood but could not see being standing in a mini-bus.
At Forbesganj near Indian Oil depot Prof. NL Das and Mangan Mishra were waiting for us and we took a rickshaw to manganji’s house.
Soon we had a small meeting and dinner.
I took a rickshaw to see my birth place(home); Sudhirjee got down at station.
Every street and shop of the Main Road was knowing me. I dropped journals in the letter box in front of my home.
Spent few minutes with caretaker Brahmani, took photograph of the collapsed roof of my house; for a minute went to take aashirvad from my friend Ajit Singh’s old mother and was back to station where too I took photographs of the statue of Ramdeni ‘Dwijdeni,’ a great freedom fighter.
The train was about to come and seeing rush on the platform I was thinking to not to board or get down at Katihar as my meeting at Patna was in the evening but the fellow young man could procure a space on luggage space where apart from luggage I was the third person as luggage and in sitting posture I had journey till Patna. The train was full of labourers going to Delhi and around. Mithila is a great reservoir of labourers which can be gauzed from any Delhi bound train. Flood ravaged Mithila need proper planning.
I was surprised to see a young man who made an armchair like twist of bed sheet hanging from the top of the iron sheet meeting the roof and the small luggage space and slept there cosily. Other boy too followed!
Till Katihar I was awoke but later I did not remember more after passing Kursela bridge on the Koshi river.
I found a poor lady very actively caring her betel nut bags, surely bringing that from Nepal where it might be cheaper. Strange as Nepal is farther from shores but may be taxes an dothers.
At Begusarai, the fellow young account got down but I did not notice if the train had crossed Barauni or had bye passed nor the remembrance of the Simariaghat Rajendra bridge on the Ganga. Surely I was sleeping in a sitting posture!

Sandhy Maithili Goshthi,Patna 18.3.2012,
Sandhy Maithili Goshthi,Patna 18.3.2012,
I am just back from the PPM 2012. It is the graciousness of its organizer Narendra kuma Jha that I became attached to that and he attracts me there for the sake of a Mithila meeting and it gives me an opportunity to meet and present my view to the students and intellectuals of Patna for many previous years.
I just got the news there of the Sandhya Goshthi from someone and decided to go there. Nagendraji a Simariaghat Kumbh organiser was there and asked me for dinner at his house. I deided to took lunch/dinner puri packet there in the backyards.
Chunnuji took me to Kankarbagh. The lady, Premlata Mishra, the first Mithil lady to stage at Patna runs it where Maithili-maghi-Bhojpuri poets assemble.
I had been there on 22.5.2011 also for addressing Maithils when I had gone to Bahadurpur on the call of Nagendrji for Simariaghat Kumbh controversy created by Kishor Kunal.
What a coincidence- again on 18th March I was there and had to go to Nagendraji’s jouse for Ekadashi dinner.
And double coincidence on first visit I had recited there my Maithili translation of Jagjanani Jai Jai and Jai Ambe Gauri and today I had with me Maihtili Hanuman Chalisa!
Given chance by president Vijay narayan Jha , director, Energy Interantional, hailing from Milki of Vaishali district I presented my views before reciting Chalisa. I spoke that all Indian Languages were ours and we were proud that we were born in a mother tongue which had got the status of BHASHA long before which is for any language, dialect+ grammar+ literature and it takes hundereds of years of literary labour to make anyu dialect a language. Maihtili is a prould language having 4 Ramayanas(one by Ramlochan Sharan I have not seen but commented Chartanand singh
Batukbhai’ that he was present in its releasing ceremony. I stressed it needs republication.
I appealed our writers to conserve our heritage and have a friendly relation with local dialects and surprisingly there were two in the audience Mrityunjay Mishra ‘karunesh’ from hilsa(Nalanda) and Ankischandraji from Bhojpur who too who later sang many gajals in sonorous voices.
Vijaynath Jha’s Vasantgan was so sonorous and pure tone of Maihtili that nobody would say that his forefathers had migrated to Siddharthnagar 8 generation(nearly 230 years) back.
Th Kashinath Mishra of Mahrail and Vinod kumar Jha of Mahathwar could sing in my presence.
Others present there Gamnesh Jha of Nawada-baigni in darbhanga, batukbhai, Rajnikant Choudhary of Mujauna, samastipur, Dinesh Mishra of Dhamiapatti, and Dr. Indrakant Jha( a great admirer of Dr. Bhubaneshwar Pd. Gurumaita’s work on varnratnakar) must have made the goshthi vivacious after my depart on getting call of nagendraji that he had come on raod to pick me up.
In the informal talk when Mrs. Prem seconded Batukbhai that money makes any programme livid I objected that any programme is dependent on workers not money. In the same token they had talked that in initial days they used to collect Rs.11 from many for the Chetna Samiti which to their opinion as loosing its pristine glory.
When asked to deliberate I did not though I would ahve liked to sday that the Goshthis should have been rotational otherwise she would remain a lone ‘woman/man” among the men. There was no other lady. Why not community participation was stressed is a matter of serious concern.
I would have been rude if would have told Dr. Umesh Mishra’s views that Maihtils should not wrote article in Hindi magazines(they should where Bengla etc. Were also invited). True, now Maihtili is out of Hindi clamp but Hindisation of Maihtili had already been too a great extent though I pointed to that I feel a laxman rekha is a must in such rprogrammes as it deteriorates the quality. We must welcome all, not only of Hindi but all available languages’s writers and poets and then at occasions such Goshthis would be more learning tool.
One of the participant after urduised gazal commented that I had hinted in my poetry collections of Hindi, Hindi Tum Bolte ho Tum Musalman Ho.’
Maihtils need not to remain in ghettos in literature or movement but also do not need clutches.

Patna Pustak Mela(PPM) 18.3.2012, Small states in India, Mithila etc.
Patna Pustak Mela(PPM) 18.3.2012,
At Gandhi Maidan we purchased two tickets and there I saw surprised to see late Prof. Sacchidanand Administrative Hall. Sachhidababu had visited in 2010 Ranchi pustak Mela and I had video recorded his interview on many aspects and there too a news had appeared that he expired however it was corrected next day that he was alive on query of N. K.Jha but now he had expired truly.
N. K.Jha waiting for me and soon we went to R. P. Tarun Hall. Madhvendraji from Ballipur Samastipur presided over the meeting on ’ Relevance of Small States, in context to UP and Bihar.’ Umanath Mishra welcomed and introduced the subjects. N.K.Jha spoke on the genesis and relevance of Pustak mela and its role in Mithila struggle. He emphasized that Purnea should be the seat of state fight where all persons will help.
Prushottam Jha, senior advocate stressed for fought in Mithila and head office there and at Patna for the movement. He said that he had worked a lot with Pt. Tarakant Jha but was sorry that the Mithila Rajy Abhiyan has been lost in the midway.(I did not say that organizationally it was a wrong move to take up other name when we were willing Pt. tarakant Jha succeeding Dr. jaykant Mishra in the Mithila Rajy Sangharsh Samiti). DR. KM Thakur ‘Chunnu’ said that there was nothing against Mithila state formation and it must be formed.
Akhilesh Jha, Nanaur, Secretary, AMP, Patna conducted the meeting. Other present were Vikas Kumar, Nagendra singh, Amitish Shashank, Rajiv Kumar, Dr. B. N. Vishwakarma, Dr. Firoz Mansuri etc.
Since the hall was to hand over at 330pm I had little time left yet I spoke on the nationalist ic aspects of state reorganization.
I delineated Indian states since then Skandpuran days to present and fallacies of the First State reorganization committees reports which did not consider Mithila and many other states on wrong notions and preambles.
I exhorted audience that it was a 18 March J.P. in the same Gandhi Maidan staged ; Sampoorn Karanti.’
It was ironic that Bihar CM had been Delhi, maybe higher power ambition.
I spoke fearlessly that his own declaration of 100 seated states had self contradiction when he did not support Mithila’s statehood despite 243 seats in Bihar which is sufficient for bifurcation.
I presented my own picture of India with 34 states as per 2.5 to 5 per cent of area and or population. I said the gist what I had written in the tOI(25.8.2006)…
Referring to,” Distant Dream”, (TOI, 25.8.2006), by Kinshuk Nag opposing Telangana, I feel like astronomical debate on Pluto, etc. “A State should be formed with sufficient mass (area as well as population) for its self-sustenance to overcome rigid socio-economic as well as linguistic forces so that it assumes nearly a well defined cultural shape”
I feel the mass of Indian states should be 2.5 to 5 per cent of area and or population- needing thereby smaller states and UTs to be merged and bigger states to be shelved for optimal political potential.
Mithila, Vidarbha, Purvanchal, Bundelkhand are equally fit cases like Telangana which needs serious considerations.
Land locking is not a point even for any nation, not to talk of State. MIM’s demand for Third Urdu State is ridiculous.
Citizens from any capital like Hyderabad will oppose new State creation (and may like a status of Chandigarh) which will downsize their real state value and hotel related business but it is AP where despite having Cyberabad most farmers’ had committed suicide-likewise despite Mumbai’s glory Vidarbha is malnourished and so Mithila is ruined perennially by floods despite having one of the most fertile soil and brain in the world.
I emphasized that from a Marist spectacles India cannot be understood which is one looks other- it is not UAI like USA or USSR that one should think for.
The problems of Maithils in Nepal and separate Statehood there I advised before Jhalanath Khanal in 2000 and PM Prachand in 2009 and there is going to be Maithili dominated Mithila Bhpjpur-Koch _madhesh state.
I said we do not want any review of Sugauli Treaty.
WE Want Mithila states in Nepal and India separately.
Statehood does not mean anyway weakening of nations.
I said that Magadh and Bhophpur too needed statehood, essential for their linguistic development.
I presented facts that Mithila has been neglected- why not IIT.AIIMs,IIM there?
I said that Motihari vs. Gaya for Central University a political controvewrsy is for dividing people. Bihar University was econd to be formed and Muzaffarpur was the ideal but Nitish does not want anything in core Mithila.
I traced the history of Mithila, Janaks, Buddha, Mahavir and others who were Maihtils and why we want Mithila state.
I dared CM to have a public debate with me anywhere on this issue.
I expressed sorrow that my friend Sushil Kr. Modi was a party to Maithili’s second language stir long back(when Urdu was made second language by Dr. Mishra).
I read lines from Grerson that Magadh was Bhadesh.
And Dr. Amaranth Jha’s wrinting protesting Dr. Sachhidanand Sinha and Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s anti- amithili view in education in 1940.
The time was short yet I spoke and crowd gradually gathered listening to Maithili voice, notable among them was Dr. Firoz Mansuri, a young research minded teacher and journalist(who later spoke in chaste Maithili provoke by NK Jha to speak in Maithili). Firoz assured me to have a meeting at Patna University as well as Madhepura and invited to the national geographers conference in November to present my paper on State reorganisation which I happily accepted.).
In Mithila movement too Md. Israe,MLC l had said in our conference at Araria - aage age Teekeewalaa, peeche peeche Topiwala’ and that I got hint again from Firoz too and I fully agree with his view that state movement is not and cannot be on the basis of religion as pointed out by him of Bangladesh. Maithil People both Hindu and Musalmaan want to have own state out of Bihar and let us have common parlance on that and I want to assure all Muslims that Mithila’s demand though is cultural yet it is not theocratic and let us fight together. 25000 Muslims in 2001 had declared their mother tongue Maihtili – let us accept that they all in Mithila speak Maithili and for that we should have many more common meetings.
The facebook is full of Burari Bihar Divas’s protest by Maithils to some who had attended, I am happy that I was at least in the histoiric Gandhi maidan to bell the end of Bihar state, to make the people more prosperous in Mithila, magadh and Bhojpur(or Bihar if they wish to continue) as people are more important than the name and small states have yielded better results in past many decades be that any southern or western states or northern(northeast states had totally wrong foundation and that need correction as to my scale 2.5 to 5 % of area and or population in Brahmputra and Barrack states instead of present of few lakhs- no state should be of less than 2 crores).
Later Bachha Thakur, IAS also came and was angry over NK Jha for not communicating him the time of the meeting which he had but he forgot.
Shri Virendra Narayan Jha , the journalist also came late . I gave him all papers and asked to have a write up in the Hindustan.
Firoz introduced me to Ashutosh Mishra, a renowned journalist whose book was to be relased on Anna and Media the same evening. I listened to Mishra speaking some young journalists that future of English journalism will shrink and so of Hindi and Maihtili, Bhojpuri would increase but they need content and quality improvement.

XXV_Maithili workers’ training Camp,Ranchi March 8-13,2012 was inaugurated
XXV_Maithili workers’ training Camp,Ranchi March 8-13,2012 was inaugurated here today afternoon at Shyamali colony By Dr.Nitryanad Lal Das, retd.-prof. English, Forbesgaj College and Sahity Akademi translation award winner 2011(for Prsendent Kalam’s Ingnited Mind in Maihtili as ‘Prajjwalit Prajna’ and vice president , Antarrashtruy Maithili P arishad. Under the presidentship of Shri maheshwar Sah, retd. DGM, a senior engineer form the GOI PSU MECON, native of Bariaul, darbhanga, near Mabbi, and vice president of the AMP, Jharkhand unit will continue till 13th( on 9th March for Holi no session will be held).
Such camps have sessions on different aspects by already trained persons(preferably who had done three such camps- This camp has sessions on ideal worker, Role of AMP,

Till XXIV camp 637 First year 21 had third year camp had third year also).
After deep prajjwaanl, and offering flowers to Mother Seeta’s portrait, Gosaunic geet Jai Jai Bhairabi was repeated by all(The song needs repetition as we usually have many wrong notion in vogue..
Bhavini is correct not Bhamini
Gati Anugati Tua Paya is correct not Anugat gati tua paya
Muh Meral not much Melal
Ghighuru Kati bajay not kat bajay)..
Any training camp is for correction of old wrong habits).
Prof. Das in his inaugural speech said that the time is ripe for the Mithila movement yet we do not know when Mithila will come on the map. He traced the story of Mithila and its successive division in Nepal and India and afterwards but enthused workers people plant tree not that they will eat fruit rather progeny will. So long Jhrakhand was part of Bihar and you can contribute a lot.
He said Hebrew the forgotten and difficult language was known to only 11 persons when Israel was formed but they made their country Hebrew speaking in all walks of life. Not only that they made Israel an oasis in desert, greenery in the desert marked Israel.
‘Israelis used to say in pride, “till there is greenery is Isreal.”
He exhorted how many of you know the International Mother tongue day like International Women day(today) and narrated the history of creation of Bangladesh from that day of protest of Urdu..
While Bengal got statehood for the script they learnt from Mithila we forgot ours and lost ground. Yet it was Vajpayee’s time when Koshi mahsetu to reunite Mithila and Maithili got acclaimed in VIII Schedule.
He asked to work if not full time for 1-2 hours daily and Mithila will come on the map.
(Most of the parts of speech in Maihtili is video recorded and may be transcribed and published later , maybe in the next Maithili sandesh to be released on may 12-13 at XXIV International Maithili conference at his working place and my birth place Forbesganj). Incidentally one Maithil from Forbesganj Shishir K Mishra also attended who was a disciple of Prof. das at Forbesganj and hails from a neighboring village Jaynagar(also there).
Then I(Dhanakar Thakur) introduced the II Language Issue seminar in brief (though many persons from the Action Committee were expected they did not come for the Holi Milan of the Jharkhand Maithili manch). I said for me this Holi is shocking as Maithili was the only major language of the state not included in 13 language list of Jharkhand. Though Maihtils worked a lot we need more struggle.
Hruishikesh Choudhary, a teacher of Sanskrit at Dhurwa and native of Rudrapur, Andhrathadhee, explained why we are unsuccessful in this move. He asked all organizations to rally behind me(read AMP) for it. Later he also explained his calendar based on the ancient history of Mithila and in fact of Hinduism the base of which is MITHILA and its saints and scriptures developed there.
All intrideuced themselves. Sri Laxman Rout, from HEC native of Bheeth Bhagwanpur, Sanjesh Mohan Thakur of Motia Dumaria, Godda, Rabindra Chpwdhary, engineer from Amethi, near Nehra evoked Holi laughter(post pua can take name?), LN Singh Suman of Majhiam joi9ned late though he was the man that First International Maithili Conference could be held at Ranchio in 1993, I wrote blog yesterday and Bindeshwar Jha of Prasad, madhepur who had suggested me in 1993 to have conference here itself when Bokaro denied after taking dates twice(and yet to be held there)..
In fact In could be held on today’s notice only as I too was in a fix to have the camp or not though decided much early for 9-13 March with Suresh Mallik, Gen Secy,AMP, Ranchi (he was also present though became some late and hence ex- Gen secy Ajay Kumar Jha,of Babubarhi had started conducting and he conducted till end well. In Amp posts have relatively not much value- we all are worker and we all work for a mission as Prof. das explained in workers’ evolution.
A journalist from Hindustan Rajkumarjee also attended and some more I am forgetting at the moment.
At the end we repeated Bhagwan hamar Mithila in the voice of Hrishikesh Choudhary.
Tomorrow is Holiday for HOLI – hope we meet on Saturday and Sunday and Monday..after which I may write a full report.

HOLI MILAN 2012
Make Maithili organizationsrepresantive of Maithilis having members of all communities _Hili milan_Bharati
Yesterdayon 6.3.2012 I was at a Maithili Holi Milan of Bharati, a local Maithil body of MECON & SAIL and allied organizations(schools JVM, DPS) and nearby Maithils.
Initially the secretary Ratanjee, of Godda, jt scey Rabindra Prasad opf Darbhanga and vice- president Bindeshwar Jha of Madhubani had come to me that they wanted this year it be held at my quarters. As I am single I thought such function be held where couple reside( though I found there was no vulgar songs).
When it was fixed I was not aware that on 6.3I( will have Pradosh fast. Yet after that I started walking to Ratanjee’s quarters in the satellite colony. I felt pain in my in growing nail and when call of Maheshwar Sah, a retired engineer and resident of Darbhanga who is vice-president of the AMP, Ranchi as well, called me I asked to senfd Rabindra to take me from the road but incidentally after 2-3 minutes Rabindra was crossing on his car with his wife and he picked me .
First I went to nearby Shiva Temple and then Ratanjee’s quarters.
It was nostalgic to see Laxmi narayan singh ‘Suman’ with his wife there and also Bindeshwar Jha who were the pivotal in organizing First International Maithili conference at Ranchi during June 19-20, 1993.
Exactly two decades back it was a Holi Milan at the quarters of Laxminarayan singh ‘Suman’ that my proposal for organizing First Antarrashtriy Maithili Sammelan was gladly accepted by all. Then the president was NK Gami, younger brother of Dr.NK Gami, my teacher at the DMCH whose daughter Rita was my classmate as well(now Dr.Rita Chakore is a famous gyanecologist at Patna).
Much water has falown in the swarnrekha here and in between we had almost tow dozens Antarrashtriy Maithili sammelanas and Maithili movement has taken a new height with Mithila movement.
I have been under pressure for some nefarious acts of some Maithils on their indiscipline.
One senior person, Baijuji had even copied the name of Antarrashtriy Maithili Sammelan and Mothila Rajy Sangharsh samiti and at times I am pained to see such acts whether these will be helpful or harmful to the movement and even think to go back to my medical world renunciating Maithili work as probably my mental make up is not to this work.
Anyway, it was a nice Holi and much of the time old UK Thakur of Darre, Godda talked of his old days.
I did not take BHANG Barfi nor I take tea or paan on which he commented Rahika chowk’s signboard..
Pad-pad pokhari pan makhan..
His third daughter, an engineer at NOIDA was married there.
There were several Holi songs by Bhojpuri singers(as Maithili singers are not available- to one I had invited also did not come).
The sweet –pua packets were distributed to all after akhrot, soft drink etc. Some persons had come there with their wives like Dr.Ashok Kumar of Ghoghardiha whose wife from Kaithinia were my hosts at most of the evenings while they were in the Shyamali colony. Manoj Singh of Muzaffarpur had come with his wife and some others whom I did not recognize. At last came Capt Ramesh Jha of Balha with his wife from Baijani, Bhagalpur and daughter.
This I wrote also that it is a MINI Mihtila as per Grierson’s map(many comments have come not to go south of Ganga) and also I joined the Maithili movement because it was not a Brahmin’s ghetto though dominated by them.
HOLI message is this that make every Maithili organization true represantive of Maithilis having members of all communities within.
