Jamalpur t kamalpur achhi.. April 8th 2012_My 120th Mithila Jagaran Yatra Darbhanga-Jamalpur (April 4-8, 2012
My 120th Mithila Jagaran Yatra Darbhanga-Jamalpur (April 4-8, 2012)- C _Jamalpur t kamalpur achhi.. April 8th 2012
On the morning of 8th April I started talking Devkant Mishra son of an eminent Maithili poet Madhupji who had presented me a book EKANEK at the Mithila Mahotsava the previous night. I had turned down its pages and in fact could not talk even for a minute there and hence I felt to thank him first.
In the meantime Jamalpur came and I got down. On the backdrop of the previous night’s rush in the train I preferred to wait for an hour till the reservation counter opened as I guessed a huge rush in the evening Vanachal Express after 4 days continued leaves . I preferred to take bath and puja on the platform itself to utilize my time. I had some Rs,240 in my pocket(after giving a donation to Mithila Mahotsava ) and that was enough for a ticket to Ranchi though I had requested a person willing a ticket to Dhanbad that I may need some money if more to be returned in the train but in Rs. 200 only a wait list ticket I could get which I thought enough for entering a sleeper class for journey even if it was not confirmed. Then I contacted Choudharyji, Munger who asked me to contact Mahashankar Choudhary of Badi Asikpur and in a few minutes he was there on his bike while I had gone to platform again for purchasing a copy of the Hindustan which had camp’s news.
Mahashankar Choudhary is a deeply religious Durgabhakt whose house’s every room has huge portraits of Badi ma Durga of Munger. He is an enthusiastic Mithila worker and is generous enough to donate some 1000 SFT land for Vidyapati Mithila Mandir facing a Shiv Mandir near the BMP Camp which I visited and wished soon a structure there. Ram Pravesh Singh, other Mithila worker resided there and they promised soon a Mithila office there.
The meeting was scheduled there at his house though in the basement too he has sufficient space for holding meeting of 100 persons.
After lunch I took some rest and gradually workers assembled and our meeting started with drums and songs of Maithili. Choudhary himself is a good singer. After some time the chief guest, Abhay kumar Jha, director, NEP( may be of ADM rank or even more) and also a trainee himself spoke good words for Mithila that we were not demanding any new but which had been in the history since time immemorial. He said that he had, “maithilike noon khene chhi- Maithili hamar visshya chhal, sevanirvittik baad ham full time Mithila worker banab.”
3rd day camp was taken by SN Pathak at Munger and he alongwith Madhvendraji and Arbind Choudhary and some others had come from Mumger. Dr. Matand Mishra and many others from jamalpur were present there. I took remaining sessions briefly and the certificates were distributed to 26 first year an done second year trainees.
The camp was concluded with a happy note.Shri Madhvendrji commented jamalpur t kamalpur achhi.. seeing their enthusiasm for Maithila and Maithili.
Shri Abhayji saw us off to Jamalpur station. Madhvendraji and Surendra Pathak went for taking ticket and I enquired for my reservation which was still wait listed.
The train had again a great rush due to local passengers till Kiul which needs extra train at the evening time from Bhagalpur as I had experienced such rush in my earlier journeys too. I saw a berth was vacant till Jasidih ( but it was pnly up to Jamui) and I could get there and slept on upper corner bereth to be awaken by the passenger at Jamui. The rush had been over by that time and I came near the passage near the gate and spread a paper and opened Pravin Ohal’s book, ‘Asia on Foot,’ and thought by 1 am at Dhanbad I may get berth to sleep but soon after Jhajha passed a young man came and asked me as to where I was to go and knowing Ranchi and I had wait list ticket he called me and gave a middle berth of his child who was sleeping with him, I told him that you were God sent person to me and I recalled such a person many years back when he had offered me such a berth when my reservation request in the Shalimar express was not forwarded by the railways.
Soon I slept deeply and could got up in the morning only when soon I found at Namkom the young man with his family got down quickly when the train had an unscheduled halt there and I could not even had the chance to ask the name of that Angel!
Ranchi came and I got down . A senior doctor (but younger to me at Darbhanga ) met me there. I continued in the train till train halted at Katharkocha and then by auto soon I was at Dibadih to walk my quarters with a sweet memory of Munger- Darbhanga and Jamlapur. The little daughter of my sister, Rohini had fever for two days but was alright and laughing as usual and I became ready for my duty and was there in time.

My 120th Mithila Jagaran yatra Darbhanga-Jamalpur (April 4-8, 2012)-B (Darbhanga- Asha Mishra, Dr NP Mishra, Mithila Mahotsava,)-Jamalpur
My 120th Mithila Jagaran yatra Darbhanga-Jamalpur (April 4-8, 2012)-B (Darbhanga- Asha Mishra, Dr NP Mishra, Mithila Mahotsava,)-Jamalpur
On the morning of 7th April at Simariaghat , I was awoke and Barauni too passed unnoticed and as usual I was pleased in the lap of core Mithila. I like LAAI of Ramdana( of some grass’s seeds) and I took that as if any fruit without bath.
The train reached Samastipur and I started distributing Mithila pamphlets.
At Darbhanga I wished to meet my teacher, Dr. Ganpati Mishra first and went nearby Laxmisagar where his wife Mrs. Asha Mishra welcomed me. She is a learned lady and we talked a lot on the Maithili’s development and the prize process. She was sorry as to why we did not have any Gyanpeeth so far! Alas in the days of Suman and Nagarjuna Maithili was not in the VIII Schedule and later our writers could not maintain that standard.
I was of the view that in considering prizes, the poor financial condition of the writer should also be one of the criteria , if everything was equal like that of the cost of medicine we prescribe though she was of the view that the standard should not be compromised.
I agreed to her with a note that if some poor’s writing would have come to selection stage that should not be marred by the influence of anybody else.
I also interviewed her on many aspects of literature and females’ role to which she responded very well. When I put a question that now even ladies are asking for divorces for petty considerations she was astonished and was of the view that adjustment must be made.
We both were appreciative to Taslma Nasreen . I quoted a line from Lajja where a person differentiates between Jal and Paani in the heydays of communal riots.
While she was bringing water for me, there I read a news in the Hindustan Times that day that a family from Poland had been talking in Sanskrit only and one had translated Bhagwadgeeta in Polish language for the first time and I recalled those young boys and girls at Munger chanting Sundarkand in Awadhi and Sanskrit. Though I felt asking her for a cutting, I dared not and at the station I forgot to take a copy of the HT though I had visited there for new Maithili Panchang and purchasing a ticket for night returning to Jamalpur by return Dhuriyan at 22 Pm.
Mrs. Mishra brought fried Makhan with sugar for me though tasty that was (and I took that too without having puja that day), I feel frying sugar in ghee must be an unhealthy practice (and may be even carcinogenic like halua when fat is fried at high temperature?).
I came to my sister’s house at Lalbagh and there was a girl student from Varanasi selling Dictionary and maps from oxford as a part of her training to BBA and I purchased one to gift Sonal (the third daughter of my younger sister).
In the evening, I started for the Laheriasarai and instead of entering in the much acquainted proper lane I went to the street of late Dr. B. Jha whose house was dilapidated (his English wife, Mrs. Jenny Jha had once been guest to my house in a Maithili Camp. Quickly I reverted back to proper street where the Mithila Mahotsava was to be held in the Ramashray Public Schhol, named after a MLA of the BJP, Ramashray Ray.
Though I was there in due time 6 pm , only some organizers were there and I was informed by Prof. Udhayshankar Mishra that the programme would start from 7 pm. They asked me to seat with important persons like Dr. Satyanarayan Mahto, President, Mithila Rajya Sangharsh Samiti, Rajeshwar Sah Nepali, vice-president of the Antarrashtriy Maithili Parishad and Baidyanath Choudhary ‘Baiju’ but I put my bag there and preferred to go out in the Balbhadrapur mohalla to meet some persons ( Mrs. & Dr. N. P. Mishra who had the parental affection to me when I had been there in my pre-clinical classes), son of late Narendra Narayan Mishra, long time chief of the RSS, Darbhanga and Dr. G. N. Lal whose house was neighboring the venue but at the house of Dr. N. P. Mishra I could know that he too had expired recently).
This mohalla was my abode when I had left Ranchi for study at the Darbhanga Medical College and found there were many new buildings come up in between though many were the same. There was a big Hanuman mandir which was very small at that time.
Dr. N. P. Mishra’s clinic was barren and I guessed he might be outstation. I knew all the doors of that house and I entered through side gate and knocked the inner house’s door and probably a servant came and replied that he was there. Though he did not know me I needed no time to wait and went in the courtyard where both were sitting whom in my teen years used to say ma and papa like their own daughter Kumkum and son Belu.
Excerpts from my autobiography-
I was better in Physiology and Biochemistry, I had also a notion that these were necessary for studying Medicine and to pass MRCP had become my aim like Dr. N. P. Mishra,(b.1.3.1929) with whose family I came in contact through my mother’s illness in those days.
Dr. Mishra’s residence was in the neighbourhood of the Sangh Karyalya where I was residing. His son, Belu, was attracted to me as he was to appear for the PMT. When I asked him for an appointment from his father for the treatment of my mother, he arranged it. I had written a detailed history of my mother’s illness, which probably impressed Dr. Mishra and I later knew in my clinical years that he was a perfect case historian.
Gradually, my bondage with his family grew and I started to get a treatment anyone can deserve from one’s parents. I used to read from the books of his daughter, Kumkum, (one year senior to me) but my mood was not stable. Sometimes I had the memory of Ranchi which had become my second home so much so that in the immediate vacation I went to Ranchi and not to my parents and that agonized Dr. B. N. I was gladly received by Mrs. Mishra- ..”Dhanakar has come –with gray hairs.. “and it was nostalgic to talk Mother was in a perfectly good health but papa in bad, he had suffered stroke and when I enquired as to why he had left practice as it would lead dementia he was very honesful tha if he could not give proper service to patients he would not like to give at all even free service was to be given with full authority.
I took his long interview reminding him that it was the WHO Day. He spoke on varied subjects first on Dr. BN Das Gupta for the proposed book and then on himself which too I wish is published in his life time.
Mother said it was good that she could see me in her life time to which I replied I would come again and again and asked pardon for my fault of not meeting them earlier and placed my services if any to come and live at my quarters at Ranchi though she repled ,”jarur.” But In know I cannot provide them the facilities they are accustomed of.
Mother’s brother was once a time editor of Scince Today we were reading in college days. There was a lady Mona, probably Belu’s wife though I was confused as to whether she was that young girl daughter of mother’s brother and Bhabhi Neeta?
I do not take silver plated sweets but I took what she had had given.
The time was short and while coming I said it was nostalgic to see that main room of the house the key of the chest would have been with me once when both had tense fight on some problem and I said, “ when I was young I used to mediate between you during quarrels.”
I am greatly indebted to them for many things but had no time..Surely I will find a day to be with them, if I can have( the Mithila work had made me busy like anything and I want to achieve the goal before I become old like them. I gave her a Mithila pamphlet. What papa asked about the journal I had no copy to give him but soon I will publish a special issue on him of that journal, Aayurvigyan pragati. There may be hardly any other teacher like him in the medical field and he was teaching at a local school MLS Academy also while a medical student..
I went to Narendra Nnarayan Mishra’s house where his daughter in law( wife of Dinesh hailing from ballia) met and I took snaps of the deceased swaymsevak(died 16.2.2012). though could not comprehend Mithila work despite being a Maihtil he was a swayamsevak par excellence.
It was already 7 pm and I almost ran to catch time and I had top go to Dr. G. N. Lal’s house as well who too had died recently. His widow came and I briefly talked her and took a snap of Dr. lal who was the first guardian of mine at Darbhanga Medical college( He was father of Vishwamohan’s mother whom I knew at ranchi in premedical days).
The loudspeaker from Mithila mahotsava was calling audience and I went there where Dr. Gurumaita and Rajeshwar Nepali as well as satyanarayan mahto were there.
We were initially not called on dias but Baijuji went without announcement of his name for inauguaral photos with chief guest V. C. of KSSDU.
Later I was asked to inaugurate an exhibition with litteratuere Udaychandra Jha ‘Binod’. The solo exhibitioj by ganga Prasad Jha was his artistic display on a single peepar ( Ficus religiosa) leaf of anything- persons to art and what not! Kalpkavi Umesh Karn too was there.
We returned to pandal. Someone asked me to go to dais but I asked him to take Dr. Gurumaita instead. Later we all were called.
Dr. Gurumaita was honoured for his contribution on varnratnakar(despite mention to vajpayee’s meeting with Sudarshanji for VIII Schedule,it was not spoken in clear words where the credit was shared to baijuji with Dr. CP Thakur in clear words.
It is miscarriage of history still we are accustomed to that.
Baijuji insisted that he had to go urgently home and was ill( some problem in knee) but this tactics I had seen at Biratnagar too where too he gulped much of the time like here, in eulogizing each person on the dais in 2-3 minutes each and hence later president Dr. C K Mishra had to interrupt that dias need not be decorative words any more .
I was hesitant but had no choice than to say that my time of train was approaching and I was given time after VC spoke for dearth of Tirhuta knowing scholars.
I spoke that big speeches do not make state rather should work on all parts whichever map is accepted by anyone.
I also pointed out dangers of asking Nepali territory .
I pointed out media’s wrong propaganda that Jahrkhand was not progressing.
I appealed to celebrate Mithila divas on April 13/14 in reply to Bihar Divas.
I also asked if Darbhanga was be capital of Mithila the Mahotsav would have much more people and they should make win 10 Mithiola candidates or defeat 10 mithila baiter MLAs.
I could not listen Dr. Mohan Mishra under whom I had my MD but in the start I had addressed him first even before the chair because Guru Govind dono khare kako lagu panv..
My sister had given me parothas but Uday and others insisted for dinner that somebody would drop me at Laheriasarai station and that they did,
The train was late somehow. I could enter with difficulty in the great rush for Baishakh Gangasnan by the pilgrims and till Samastipur it was a hard time to stand even no space for an ant. Passengers were asking me to move inside but where and how when nobody was slipping a cm.
One Bhojpuri person old man was very angry at me but after some time he had syncope and was given water by passengers(I did not reveal my identity as a doctor- was it for my prestige sake that I was in such a rush!)
At Muktapur many female venders(kujarnis) got down and I could go inside and at Samstipur could be accommodated as fourth passenger on a three-sitter. At Simaria Rajendra pul the train was vacant and I slept on that seat to got up at Kiul and even after that in way to Jamalpur in the dawn of the rising sun.
B. N. Prasad and it took him much pains to explain to me the realities of social life.
I was often thinking to leave medical science and prepare for BSc so as to compete for the UPSC.
Dr. N. P. Mishra was a hard taskmaster. He used to say, “Read Cunningham 100 times.” I used to reply, “I have read three times, now I cannot.” Usually Mrs. Mishra (b. 15.11.1936) favoured me and saved me from chiding.

My 120th Mithila Jagaran yatra Munger – Darbhanga-Jamalpur (April 4-8, 2012)-A
My 120th Mithila Jagaran yatra Munger – Darbhanga-Jamalpur (April 4-8, 2012)-A
I am back to my work after a tedious journey to Mithila-in fact one part from Laheriasarai to Samastipur was probably the most arduous one I might have travelled in my life on 7th April night in the Dhuriyan express after attending Mithila Mahotsava by Udyashankar Mishra.
Some months back I had accepted invitation of Dr. Sanjiv Kelkar MD and Dr Sanjeevani Kelkar , MS for their son Nachiket’s marriage on April 8th at Nagpur with a condition that if not tagged with some long programme and that happened when we fixed up a Maithili Karyakarta prashikshan Shivir at Kuangarhi, Munger when RP Jha incidentally met me on 15th March and I felt we must give importance to Munger and accordingly on April 5th the executive committee meeting of the Antarrashtriy Maithili parishad was accepted by Arbind Choudharyji.
From Raipur SN Pathak aged 80+ was enthusiastic to visit Kuangarhi again where he had been with me in such VIII camp during oct.22-25, 2004. However with the passage of time RP jha did have some domestic problem and a well planned camp with visit to nearby places could not be possible.
However, my planning is always to club something with something resulted a better fruit and not only XXVII camp was held at Munger with wide newspaper publicity, it was probably the best ever camp in the matter of enthusiasm and there the chief guest a person of the ADM rank , Shri Ajay Kumar Jha Aannounced that after his retirement (in 2018) he would devote his full time for Mithila’s statehood.
Altogather 26 were given first year certificate and one Heeralal Mahto, from dalsingsarai second year certificate of camp.
We presume three such camp if a maihtil attends would be able to hold camp independently.
We want to recruit more and more from each corner of Mithila in such camps and want to have as many camps as possible in the interiors and fringe zones of the Mithila.
The camp was clubbed with the working committee meeting and it could be explained to the Munger workers only one or two days before when Kuangarhi programme finally failed. It was a difficult task for them but it was accomplished very nicely by them.
The Xerox of the camp materials could be available just 30 minutes before my departure and I was in a fix whether it would be held at all? I had instructed single page xeoxing so that its other face can be used for some purpose.
Incidentally ny nephew a student of the NIT, Jamshedpur had come on 4th April and he on a bike could collect those papers and saw me off in the train after attending some work in my afternoon clinic.
Till Kiul I was on a single seater, seated and reading some pages of a book by Pravin Ohl, ‘Asia on foot,’ It was also my pradosh fast and thpough in the morning I had done Puja in advance, and also in a Shiv Mandir in the Satellite Colony after some transactions in the bank there and had also taken curd water in house during journey I again recites strotas and did paran without a proper puja when Sun set in the valley of Ranchi-Muri section in lovely green and cool environ.
When I got seated in the train, I had first jolt when the president Dr. kamalkant Jha said that due to sudden spinal pain he was advised not to travel next fortnight. However satyanarayan mahto said that he would be coming who later presided over the meeting.
A youth raushan though talked long on the mobile after mail exchange did not receive phone(a common habit of Maihtils who do not want to say ‘no.’ Other youth Pravin of Dhabnad though talked from madhubani also did ot say ‘no.’
Madhvendra jha, a nephew of the great poet Prof. Surendra Jha ‘Suma,’ however confirmed. Premkant Jha , general secretary would be attending and it would be a truncated executive meeting I expected.
It was cool in the train due to hailstorms in north Mithila region and I had no proper sheets(chadar).
The Kiul came at early 330 am and I waited for Surendra Pathak’s south Bihar express. The Dhurian Passenger passed but I preferred not to disturb Mahtoji or Madhvendraji.
I preferred to rest and eat grapes instead on the platform.
When Surendranath Pathak’s train was announced I felt urgent need to go to toilet and I found a youg girl of teens sleeping in the waiting room with no care of her luggage and I aroused her by my strong voice and chided her for carelessness but already her mobile was stolen by someone which she had put for charging.
I missed Pathakji to receive in between and started wandering to check DMU’s coaches and platform but soon he met. He had gone out for a local ticket to jamalpur.
I slept
Pathakji and I took DMU for Jamalpur. I slept till jamalpur came and there we took jeep to go to Munger’s Bhagat singh Chowk and then a rickshaw to Lallu Pokhra about which the puller said that it was said that from that pond one would used to get utensils and cereals for food preparation after which the utensils were to be returned to the pond but some greedy person did not return that and that power was lost.
Soon we were there and Choudharyji was waiting for us at the Hanuman mandir there near the Maithili Parishad office.
Premkantji had already been there and sleeping after unreserved journey and so soon came Mahtoji with Heeralal Mahto, a retired train driver and then Madhvendraji.
Local workers gradually assembled and after I did my bath and puja we started for the executive committee meeting and took some important decisions.
Then after delicious lunch we started Training camp and one after other many sessions were held- inauguration, qualities of good workers, role of the Antarrashtriy Maithili aprishad, geography and history of Mithila(ancient and modern) apart from a symposium on Mithila’s problems in which asked to name one problem each.
Ramnaresh Mishra said we need strong orgnisation; Dr. Kashinath Mishra was worried for unemployment; Arbind choudhary was sore at the lack of enthusiasm amongst workers for the organization; Premkant jha stressed on mutual trust and transparency; Satynarayan mahto asked for social harmony; madhvendraji pointed for self proud; Sushil Kanth said that for the development of language and region we should dedicate ourselves; Dr. matand Mishra, BAMS, stressed on active networking and cooperation; Mahashankar Choudhary appealed for joining with Tan-Man-Dhan; SN pathak asked for financial strong position’ Heeralal mahto stressed on the propagation of Maihtili language; Amrendra thakur asked for adding yuth to the movement in more number; Anmol Jha stressed on unity and organization; Ramnarayan karn said that distance between saying and doing need minimized, Binodanad Jha stressed on the Maihtil’s development, Vivekanad singh said for surrendering the ego.
In the evening Mahtojee, Hralalji and Premkant jee left and pathakji, madhvendrajee and I were left for continuing of the camp.
We had dinner there and we spent some time on roof which was cool due to Ganga breez but we came down and under mosquito coil tried to sleep which was not possible till electricity came late.
Next morning we decide to go to kastharni Ghat by walking. In the way a newspaper hawker did give us newspapers(Jagaran, Hindusatan and Prabhat Khabar). In fact the did not know counting above 2 or 3 papers and initially he counted Rs.16 for three sets which I gave him and later Rs.9 for one extra set while the set of the papers were of Rs. 11 which I could think later on and some Rs. 15 were given to him extra which I thought was a good donation on the Chitra purnima day.
The Kastharni Ghat had a picturesque scene and I took bath first and had longer puja in between they were ready. We saw ganga mai’s temple. There was also a temple of jagannath- Balbhadra-Subhadra like Puri.
WE came out and went to Yograshram for which Munger was world famous. We knocked rear gate but were advised to go through front gate only.
Before entering we took biscuits and put our clothes to that vendor.
Ashram had a time for Sundarkand chanting. Madhvendrajee was insistent not to wrap body by other’s cloth though I asked Surendra Pathakji to give him dhoti.
His insistence had a notion not to wear other’s dress which was more a sign of his obstinacy than of hygiene.
Inside the beautiful marbled Ashram had more beauty to the young foreign girls and boys taken the charge of Sundarkan path’s management and they also put Tilak to all(the girl missed me though I was willing for her Tilak’s?)
And those foreigners too sat and recited Sudarkand written in Awadhi! What a great achievenment of the Yogaguru satyanandji and his disciples. I was mesmerized by that and it increased my honour to him more so that he was not anyway deviant to sanatan sanskriti like many other Yoggurus.
I had listened about him but had not much appreciation as to me simple Yoga was ridiculous and for the physical fitness only if that was not a way to join God. Many years back I had seen two young sannyasinis at Chennai at a maithil’s house and I had not good impression but that was changed seeing the Sundarkand path after which a small Prasad was distributed(which just now I have taken for satisfying my hunger when my sister had also called me where I was since morning- in fact busy in replying mails which will hardly make organization and sudden change of dates to Forbesganj sammelan to 26-27 and a meeting with workers for ensuing new years’ day’ programme for Mithila Divas at ranchi on April 13-14).
After we came out of the Ashram I requested both to got o Chandisthan also in that go on a rickshaw for Rs. 5o till return to the parishad office.
Munger is a hilly place and through wide roads of the once capital of Bihar area we reached on the outskirt the Chandisthan where Mother’s eyes were said to be dropped after daksh Yajna. The temple small and beautiful is not managed well and the priests make unnecessary late in the cave which sometime may result in a stampede.
While returning we saw a Mithila Ayurveda Kendra and I recalled my father’s Mithila Ayurveda Bhavan in my hometown, Forbesganj.
Choudharyji was waiting for us and we had soon our lunch and we rested till workers assembled for the sessions.
On 6th April the sessions started with Arbind Choudhary stressed on Youth’s role in the development of Mithila. I took sessions on how to implement a programme – planning, execution and review including financial as paran is part of vrata. Then I explained why Mithila state was necessary for us, Bihar and nation as a whole. I also took some time to deliberate public health, good hygienic habits and answers to specific queries.
After dinner with Dr. Matand Mishra I went to jamalpur as I had to go to Darbhanga for the Mithila Mahotsava on 7th evening.
It was a good chance to talk to Dr. Martand’s son 3ho was planning for the company secretarysahip. I advised him to do graduation and then law as well. It was exhilarating to talk to the little daughter Shambhavi who rwd in neaby Notterdame school said to be forst in India of that seroies.
There I knew from her that headmistresses were called only Sisters there as they were nuns probably. The girl spoke in chaste English on vaied subjects and I tried to give her some tips on science in particular though I was not versed with their syllabus.
After two glasses of milk of his own cow , I was given a lift to jamalpur station where I found the ticket to Darbhanga of 175 km was merely Rs.25.
The train was around two hours late and it was a difficult time to be on the platform in the cool breez with little cloths.
The train came and it was almost vacant and I could find one convenient to sleep on seat changing many coaches

Akshya Mishra (b. 1.1.1944 ) father of Anand USA, came to meet me yesterday.
His father died when he was only 3 months, lone brother three sisters.
He passed BTECh from REC, Durgapur . His mother wished he remain near and so afterwards he even taught one month at Nathnaghar school.
He took a yeoman work to empoer all his relations with education. His sister was the principal of the Teachers’ Training college at Forbesganj, my home town whose son Praksh is married to my mother’s sister’s daughter, Rekha.
Some years back Prakash had sustained a severe spinal injury but due to sheer determination he is now almost independent for the activities of daily life.
Mishrajee has recently lost his elder son in an operation. His younger son Anand who was working at he MECON was once my patient when I was not knowing the relation(he was telling would go to Bokaro to relatives- later I understood he would go to Praksh and Rekha.
Mishrajee ‘s house at Allahabad had produced 11 engineers from his relatives.
This is to be learnt from him.
And also that the found time to meet me after a long time(his phone number was changed when he was in US for long).
We should try to inculcate the habit of meeting people and empowering our relations and even non-relations which is matter of bygone era.
