wish parikalpana, first Maithili cine-art monthly a bright future

wish parikalpana, first Maithili cine-art monthly a bright future

Today came young theater artist Neeraj Thakur of Ranti on the reference of Kislay Krishna who has just edited first issue of PARILKALPANA, the first cine- theatre monthly magazine in Maihtili.

It has a beautiful cover of Shrriti Jha,(not Shruti Jha) a beautiful actress who has miles to go in her film career.

In an interview in the magazine she has expressed her attachment to mother tongue, Maithili.

There are some news regarding Maithtili arts here and there and also Mithilakshara.

Kislay has been a Maithili worker and writer, hailing from Saharsa he has a wide canvass of Matihtili workers in his introduction and it is hoped he is successful in this new venture though journalism in Maithtili is always fraught with the fear of collapse.

I asked Neeraj about Maithili films and I was surprised to know that despite a film produced by Sajivjee of Nasik, they could not get halls free as an encouragement to new film in Maithtili which is provided thus to Marathi films in Maharashtra.

I sometimes feel lost that despite beautiful faces why Shrriti is the first on a cover page?

When every Maithilani is an Aripan painter and singer why not Mithila dance?

Maybe due to Muslim rule there might have been prevention or not evolution as Odissi and Bharatnatyam could despite Mithila had many vocalists of national fame.

Wish PARIKALPANA a bright future
